KOH TAO GREEN MARKET

Since its debut in 2022, the Koh Tao Green Market has been a cherished tradition of the festival where the local community gathers to celebrate and showcase their commitment to sustainable and zero-waste practices.

KOH TAO PHOTO CONTEST & EXHIBITION

The contest this year coming with the theme "Embrace Island Life…Dive into Nature". The main objective of this contest is to gather captivating photographs showcasing the stunning landscapes, sandy beaches, coastal areas, and way of life, as well as the mesmerizing underwater world of Koh Tao. 

WELLNESS ACTIVITES

Recognizing that taking care of our bodies and our planet go hand in hand, this year’s program will introduce wellness activities that highlight the island’s holistic ethos. Whether it is through yoga, sound therapy, ice baths, Island massage or Thai Fire massage, the program will offer a blend of ancient wisdom and modern practices that remind us of our interconnectedness with nature.

ZERO WASTE THAI CUISINE CLASS

Every area of Thailand has its own unique style when it comes to flavors and flair in the kitchen, and the southern provinces are no different. Sourcing ingredients locally and adopting a zero-waste approach to cooking is key to maximizing the use of natural resources and eliminating unnecessary trash.

COCO TIE DYE WORKSHOP

Koh Tao is a small island with limited natural resources, so our passionate eco-focused community is always keen to showcase the different ways natural products can be used to eliminate waste. Tie-dying is a zero-waste endeavor and a cottage industry that provides income for Koh Tao locals. They use only naturally derived coloring agents and coconut meal to produce one-of-a-kind creations.

ECO PRINT

Run by passional local conservationist, Khon Lay, ECO PRINT is an eco-friendly printing process that uses leaves and other natural plant material such as bark, seeds, and flowers to transfer the colors and patterns from nature onto natural cloths likecotton and silk.

SEA GLASS CREATIONS

Introducing the Sea Glass Creations, showcasing what it is and the creative possibilities it holds. By crafting with our own hands, we empower people to collect their beach memories home without disturbing the natural cycle by picking up corals and seashells.

PLAS-TAO WORKSHOP

Join the Plas-Tao workshop and learn how the team recycle an array of single-use plastics into handmade products suitable for daily use. Examples include keyrings, jewelry, coasters, plant pots, bottle openers, soap dishes, and more! Plus, the team are always eager to hear new ideas for expanding the Plas-Tao range!

FISH AGGREGATION WITH LOCAL FISHERMEN

Koh Tao’s reputation as a world-class diving destination only exists as long as marine life populations thrive. Historically, many Thais in the southern provinces have provided for themselves and their families by fishing. A balance is required to meet the needs of local people while ensuring marine life populations remain healthy. On Koh Tao, local fishermen have mastered the art of fish aggregation to ensure sustainability.
